Mrs. Kiana Clark, Principal

April 30, 2018

Dear Dana Middle School Families and Friends,

It is with great excitement and pride that I share with the Dana Middle School community an update on our search for the next principal of this wonderful school. After reviewing a litany of applications and interviewing some very talented candidates our very own Kiana Clark will assume the role of Dana’s next principal. I am proud of Kiana’s contributions to our community as a teacher leader and as an administrator. She has spent her entire career in Wiseburn and has served in various leadership positions in curriculum, technology, student behavior support, and various extra-curricular activities. She is a talented and strong educator who is committed to the continued progress of our school and our district. Her strengths as an educational leader and her compassion and advocacy for all stakeholders will serve us well in the years to come.

During her career Mrs. Clark has excelled in instruction, safety planning and coordination, facilitating a Positive Behavior Support initiative, data analysis, and school-wide Professional Development in various curricular areas. Mrs. Clark is a graduate of the University of Southern California and received her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Cal State University Dominguez Hills. Kiana is excited about this opportunity and looks forward to continued collaboration with the Dana Middle School community and the entire Wiseburn Unified School District community. Mrs. Clark will officially begin her duties on July 1, 2018.

I would like to send a special thank you to the interview panel for their diligence and commitment to selecting the best candidate for the job. They definitely made the right choice!

Kiana will be officially appointed by the Wiseburn Unified School District's Board of Trustees on May 8, 2018.

Please join the entire Dana Middle School community in welcoming our new principal!

Sincerely yours,

Blake Silvers, Ed.D.
Superintendent-Elect
