Click below to view a slideshow to help you set up your Parent Canvas Observer Account. This will allow access to your Students Grades, Assignments, Due Dates, Quizzes, Tests and more.

Do you need some help setting up your Parent Canvas Observer Account?

 

What is a Parent Canvas Observer Account?  This is your access to view your student's grades, assignments, due dates, quizzes, test and more in Canvas our Learning Management System. 

 

The steps to set up your parent account are detailed in slideshow above.  

 

To get started you will need your students email address, it should look something like asmith@st.wiseburn.org.  Along with that you will need your students unique parent canvas password they brought home at the beginning of the year.  If you do not have the unique password, please email mnies@wiseburn.org and request it.  You will also need your email address to get started.  Once you create your account you will receive and email to confirm your account and set up your password.

 

Below is the link you will use to set up your account and to login each time after that.

If you have more that one student at Dana here are the steps you will need to complete to add them to your Parent Canvas Observer Account:

 

To enroll a second child/student to observe – do the following:

  • Log into Canvas Parent Observer account

  • Click account link

  • Click settings

  • Click observing in navigation menu

  • Enter student’s username and password in fields provided

  • Click + student button

Below you should see “students being observed: both names should appear.

 

If you would like to add the App to your phone you will need to download the Canvas Parent App. Please make sure you download the Canvas Parent App and NOT the Canvas App. The Canvas App is for students.  Also note when you download the App you will need to "Set up an Account" on your phone.  You should use the same user name and password you used when setting up your Canvas Account on your computer.  To set up the App on your phone you will also need your students email address and the password to their student email account.  You will also need our District URL: wiseburn.instructure.com
