Dear Dana Middle School Families and Friends,
Welcome to R.H. Dana Middle School in the Wiseburn School District! We are proud to be a California Distinguished School, a California Gold Ribbon School, and a National Forum School to Watch. These designations have only been achieved with a strong teaching and support staff, an amazing and supportive community, and the best students around. I cannot believe we are rapidly approaching the end of the year, and with that, there are some very important events coming up that will highlight all of the hard work and dedication of our Dolphins over the past year. Starting on May 2nd, we will begin our 3 week administration of the annual state assessment (SBAC) and I will be sending specific information and logistics via my eblast leading up to and throughout the SBAC testing time period. Following SBAC, our students will showcase their year in our annual Student Led Conferences on May 25. I strongly encourage all parents to take the time to join us on this afternoon/evening as it has always been a memorable experience for all involved.
Lastly, as we approach the end of the year, we will begin the process of bidding a fond farewell to our 8th grade students with many culminating activities. We will send out information as we get closer to the end of the year. With our 8th graders ending their time at Dana and moving on to high school, we want to welcome our newest Dolphins. On May 19th we will host our first annual 5th grade mixer for Anza and Burnett students. We are excited about this event and look forward to welcoming our newest students and parents to the Dana Middle School community.
Dana Middle School and the Wiseburn Unified School District is an amazing place! We continue to take pride in offering the best educational and extra-curricular opportunities for all of our students!
